POLICE PRESENCE AT PRIDE

Recognizing the broader historical relationship between the LGBTQIA+ community, and police we believe it is important to inform you of the police presence that will be at Pride. Every year we collaborate with the Greenfield Police Department, who have been very supportive of Franklin County Pride’s efforts.  The police are required to direct traffic on Federal and Main Street. And, as a Committee we decided to hire officers to be present at Energy Park due to the high attendance expected.

Our aim is to make pride a welcoming and safe place for all participants. We are open to your observations, and if you have any concerns during the parade or rally please kindly find a parade organizer. We will be wearing purple “Organizer” shirts. Furthermore, there will be volunteer Peacekeepers at the rally as an additional means for creating a safe space.

WEATHER

Franklin County Pride happens rain or shine! Please dress appropriately for the weather. We would only delay or cancel activities in the event of severe thunderstorms and lightning. Notifications of any changes would be posted on our website and our social media pages.
